Record City Spending During 2025 Festive Season

The 2025–26 NRMA Insurance Ashes series and midnight trading in Rundle Mall supported record festive period spending, according to new AEDA data. Adelaide hit an all-time monthly high of $430 million in December 2025—a five per cent increase compared to the same time in 2024. Spending peaked at more than $28 million in a single day on Friday,19 December 2025.
